‘Kidz ID alert’ returns to this year’s NTI Townsville 500 – Townsville

Thousands of families are expected to attend the V8s this weekend in Townsville and so police are encouraging all families to visit the Queensland Police ‘Kidz ID alert’ that will be located at every entrance.

Sergeant Julie Cooke said attending the stalls run by police at local events is a quick an easy way to keep children that little bit safer when at large events.

“Kidz ID stands can often be found at family-oriented events around Townsville,” Sergeant Cooke said.

“Registration is free and only takes a minute or two, but ensures some peace of mind for parents of young children.”

So How Does Kidz Id Work?

  • Registration is free and only takes a couple of minutes of your time for priceless peace of mind.
  • Visit one of the kidz alert stands which will be situated at all of the entrances.
  • Complete a registration form which will require a full description of the child that you are registering including clothing and the contact details of a parent or guardian who they are with at the show.
  • Present the form at the Kidz ID Alert stand and a member of staff will check it, deliver a safety message to your child and issue a wristband.

The SuperKids Zone has returned this year, so why not challenge an officer to a game of table tennis for a family fun day out!
