WHAT’S ON: The best events happening in Brisbane this July | New Idea

From June 29 to July 7, the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre will be filled to the brim with pre-loved books. With prices starting as low as $2.50, the sale will boast more than one million books across a range of genres. From health and fitness and gardening to history and biographies, as well as the popular ‘comic-fest’ section, the Lifeline Bookfest does not disappoint. Plus, every book you buy helps support the 24-hour 13 11 14 Lifeline Crisis Support Line so they can answer more phone calls from Queenslanders in need.

Happening in the historic city of Warwick for 10 days in July, the Jumpers and Jazz Festival is one of Queensland’s quirkiest winter festivals! The event features a mix of visual art, live jazz music, markets, food, barn dances, and an array of other exciting events and activities.

Located less than an hour out of the city centre, the city of Ipswich is hosting its fourth city-wide festival, Spark – a festival of arts and culture. Spark features over 50 individual events, showcasing talented local artists, musicians and performers as well a providing you the opportunity to fill your days and nights with a range of creative experiences.
