Australian Darts Masters, Wollongong
The biggest names in darts return to Wollongong for this mega-popular World Series of Darts event.
Eight of the world’s top stars and eight top talents from the Oceanic region will battle it out across two days for TV silverware.

Jim Jefferies, Wollongong
There’s still some tickets up for grabs to rock star comedian, TV host, podcaster and writer Jim Jefferies’ Give ‘Em What They Want Tour.
The Aussie star’s ability to tackle controversial topics with intelligence and humour has earned him a global following.

NWBA Finals Series
All the National Wheelchair Basketball League action is happening in Shellharbour this weekend, with Roller Hawks, Darwin Salties, Perth Wheelcats and Manly Wheel Eagles battling it out for the championship.
This is a unique opportunity to watch Australia’s elite wheelchair basketball athletes, including many who will represent Australia at the Paris Paralympics.
When: Saturday at 11am and 7pm and Sunday at 9.45am and 1.30pm.

Gamma Gong, UOW
Gamma Gaming and Pop Culture Expo arrives in town with gaming, anime, movies, manga and art.

Killer Rides, Unanderra
The indoor car show will celebrate its 30th anniversary with some of the best street machines, hot rods, competition cars, burnout cars, BMX bikes and more on show.
There’s also a ‘spin to win’ wheel with prizes, lots of traders and more.

Virgins & Veterans ceramic exhibition opening, Port Kembla
Red Point Artists have brought some of Australia’s ceramic giants to Port Kembla to showcase their work alongside emerging potters.
The exhibition will be accompanied by an artist talk at Wollongong Art Gallery on Saturday and a workshop at the Wentworth on Sunday.
When: Friday from 6pm to 8pm. Exhibition runs until 21.

Crescendo art show, Port Kembla
This group exhibition features works by photographer/filmmaker James Kates, illustrator/graphic designer/printmaker Luke Player and painter Creed McTaggart.
After the art, hang around for the second part of the event – a live music and audio-visual show by Sover, Cheap Gloomer and The M1. Grab a bite to eat from Papi’s Birria Tacos.
When: Sunday from 4pm to 6pm at the free art show and 6pm for 8pm for the ticketed live music.

Music for a Winter’s Night
Indonesian-Australian pianist Calvin Abdiel took out third place at the Sydney International Piano Competition in 2021, the only Australian to reach the final in over 20 years.
He joins local violinist Cedar Newman for a program that features them performing together and solo.

A Place in the Sultan’s Kitchen, Wollongong
Josh Hinton fills the theatre with exotic smells as he attempts to make his grandmother’s chicken curry live on stage, while telling stories weaving together childhood memories and family folklore passed down the generations.
There’s no set ticket price for the show. Simply reserve a spot, show up, then pay what you feel the performance is worth afterwards.

Whale watching cruises, Shellharbour
Witness the migration of the awe-inspiring humpback whale up close with a 90-minute tour off the coast of Shellharbour.

Ricky York: A Rewrite of Shakespeare’s ‘Richard III’
Female-led collective SHEkespeare brings an absurdist tragic tale inspired by the likes of “bubblegum horror” (think Heathers and Jennifer’s Body) to the stage.
It’s based on Shakespeare’s historical tragedy ‘Richard III’; about a devilishly evil man who lusts for the British throne.
When: Friday and Saturday and 7pm and Sunday at 4pm. Show also runs next weekend.

Handmade ceramics winter studio sale, Gerringong
To celebrate its seventh birthday, Soul Clay Studios’ resident artists are marking down their handmade wares by up to 50 per cent.
