The push for a team has seen several setbacks over the years, but after significant lobbying efforts and negotiations, Tasmania has been accepted as the AFL’s 19th club.
The final step is the construction of a new multi-purpose roofed stadium in Hobart to support the AFL and AFLW teams and a High Performance training centre on the eastern shore.
