Organisers behind Cinema Under the Stars have made the decision to postpone this weekend’s events in both Maitland and Lake Macquarie, with heavy rain forecast for the Hunter region.
The popular family event was set to return with a screening of Minions: The Rise of Gru at Maitland Park on Friday 23rd February and Speers Point Park on Saturday 24 February.
Instead, the Lake Macquarie event will return on Saturday 6th April.
The Maitland event will be held Friday, 5th April from 5pm.
“Thank you to everyone who had planned to join us,” a Newcastle Permanent spokesperson said.
“We appreciate your understanding and look forward to enjoying a night under the stars with you all over the coming months.”
