SOUNDSWELL: Kate Miller-Heidke and Boo Seeka lead festival lineup announcement

Make it Maitland is putting on a massive party at Queens Wharf in Morpeth this January with a bill featuring Kate Miller-Heidke, Boo Seeka and Kira Puru.

The Soundswell festival is a free, all-ages event put on in collaboration with Maitland Council and local businesses to showcase Morpeth’s amazing location and atmosphere.

Soundswell will not only showcase the incredible musical talent of Australia but highlight Morpeth’s unique charm and boutique offerings, and we look forward to welcoming a host of visitors to Morpeth,” Lisa Simmonds-Webb, President of the It Must Be Morpeth Business Association, said.

The lineup will also feature the indie rock sounds of Newcastle-based band, and Newcastle Live favourites, The Appointments.

There’ll be a stack of stuff for the kids to do and yummy treats to eat with an amazing backdrop to boot.

Soundswell promises an unforgettable experience for the community, featuring nationally recognised musical acts, family-friendly activities and a diverse selection of food offerings from local vendors,” Maitland City Council’s Coordinator City Events and Activation, Adam Franks said.

“As shown by last year’s hugely popular Morpeth Bicentenary event, Queens Wharf Park makes for a perfect picturesque backdrop for a summery celebration of music.”

Soundswell is happening on Saturday 13 January 2024 at Queens Wharf in Morpeth. For more information, including the full lineup visit maitlandevents.com.au.
