Music festival relocating to Newcastle

The City of Newcastle (CN) has scored another major event with the announcement that the popular music festival, Groovin the Moo, will be held at Foreshore Park on 4 May. This highly anticipated festival is part of a national tour, stopping in Adelaide, Canberra, Bendigo, Sunshine Coast, and Bunbury, and is expected to attract over 25,000 music fans to Newcastle.

Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes expressed her excitement about Newcastle’s growing reputation as a live music hub and a preferred destination for major events. She stated, “City of Newcastle is committed to attracting and hosting major events as a primary driver of the local tourism visitor economy. With unforgettable performances by Elton John and Paul McCartney last year, and the upcoming sold-out Pink concert, Newcastle has become a must-stop destination for world-class concerts.”
