Sydney Streets: Celebrating Local Neighbourhoods with Car-Free Zones

Join us for Sydney Streets, a series of lively and memorable events that transform village high streets into car-free zones. From February to April, we invite you to celebrate some of our favorite local neighborhoods in Sydney.

During Sydney Streets, we will provide roving entertainment including musicians, dancers, and child-friendly entertainers. Outdoor furniture and portable toilets will be available for your convenience. In some locations, small stages with programmed entertainment will keep the party going from late afternoon into the evening.

Local businesses and organizations have the opportunity to host in-store activations to attract customers and can apply to extend trading outdoors.

If your business or organization is located on or around one of the high streets listed below, we encourage you to join us and help create vibrant and exciting events:

From face painting to special menus, there are endless possibilities to create unique events and special offers that will attract customers. Let your imagination run wild!

In Surry Hills, Masala Theory’s food stall served up delicious curry bombs, Mumbai margaritas, and fresh tunes.

Markd Tattoos in Redfern welcomed walk-ins for one day only, giving customers the chance to jump the waiting lists and get a quick tattoo from specialist artists.

Many restaurants, cafes, and pubs like the Lord Roberts in Darlinghurst took their table service roadside, allowing customers to enjoy alfresco dining.

In Redfern, both kids and adults enjoyed painting classes by Sydney Creative while indulging in delicious pizza from neighboring restaurant La Coppola.
