The events in Sydney this week are a ‘great test’ for Australia: James Paterson

There have been worries of damage to social cohesion after the stabbing attacks in Sydney over the past week.

Shadow Homes Affairs Minister James Paterson discusses the recent knife attacks in Sydney.

“This is a great test for our nation,” Mr Paterson said.

“We don’t have a system of vigilante justice in this country – we have law and order,” Mr Paterson told Sky Australia.

“What I’m concerned about is that the federal government needs to do more to lead the conversation on these issues and keep a lid on it so it doesn’t break out.”
