Tickets go on sale 12 September via axs.com/au. AXS is the only authourised ticket seller for this event.

Quotes attributable to Minister for Tourism Michael Healy:

“It will be incredible to have one of the biggest rock bands of the 21st century gracing our stadium, and I’m sure this will be a huge boost to tourism, the local economy, and local jobs as we experienced with P!NK earlier this year.” Mr Healy said.

“Queensland Country Bank Stadium was built with the intention of securing world-class events that will put the region on the map and with this announcement I think it’s fair to say they’re killing it!”

Quotes attributable to Frontier Touring Chief Executive Officer Dion Brant:

“The Killers have proven time and again why they are one of the best live rock bands in the world. The Killers shows are always hit after hit, anthem after anthem.”

“The band has chosen to kick off their Australian tour on a Saturday night in Townsville at Queensland Country Bank Stadium and we are counting on the North Queensland crowd to make it an extra special night.”

Quotes attributable to Townsville Enterprise CEO Claudia Brumme-Smith:

“Townsville, we’ve done it again! We’ve secured global rock band The Killers to launch their Australian tour right here in our city.”

“On 30 November 2024 Queensland Country Bank Stadium will be pumping tunes like ‘Somebody told me, Mr Brightside, Human, and Miss Atomic Bomb’, and this is Townsville’s time to shine. Get your tickets quickly and show these promoters that we are human and we are dancers, and we can sell this show out!”

“We know The Killers are an outstanding live act and we are proud to host the only stadium event in the country for this legendary American band! The concert is expected to generate significant economic benefit of $10M and will again showcase and demonstrate our capability in hosting major concerts and events.”

“We acknowledge and thank Townsville City Council and Tourism and Events Queensland for their support in bidding to bring The Killers to Townsville!”

Quotes attributable to Townsville City Council Councillor Brady Ellis:

“The Killers have picked the best place to kick off their national tour because our city absolutely throws its support behind all live music acts that travel to Townsville,” Cr Ellis said.

“You only have to think back to when you were young to remember just how massive The Killers are – they were certainly part of the soundtrack of my teenage years. It will be unreal to see the band performing live at the north’s biggest stadium.

“I expect there will be a hot fuss when tickets go on sale and our live music-loving city will snap them up quickly. But if we look at the bright side, this will mean a huge boost for our local businesses and a great night out for locals and visitors to our beautiful city.”

Quotes attributable to Queensland Country Bank Stadium Venue General Manager Cameron Jones:

“The Killers are responsible for some of the all-time music anthems, and I can’t wait to hear them ringing out across our stadium stands!” Mr Jones said.

The response to P!NK earlier this year was phenomenal and I hope fans and locals react to this concert in a similar way and sell-out the venue so that we can continue to attract the best event experiences for Townsville.”
