There looks to be plenty of value on offer at Sandown Hillside on Wednesday, including $15 chance He’s Heaven in race 7.
RACE 1
I think AMIGO can knock off the favourite WOLFY. Got the blinkers on for the first time and maybe didn’t suit him as he led and battled on well enough in Saturday grade at Caulfield. He did beat home subsequent winner Robrick that day. Blinkers come off him here and I don’t think he has to lead. He is talented and $6.50 makes strong appeal. Wolfy was very good coming home in slick sectionals on debut and will be improved but is no value at $2.10.
SUGGESTED BET: Amigo to win at $6.50. Boxed exacta with Wolfy.
TIPS: Amigo 1, Wolfy 2, Snow Patrol 3, Gallant Prince 4.
RACE 2
In a race devoid of a lot of chances, PHARARI looks a strong contender on the back of impressive jumpouts. Nicely bred daughter of Triple Crown winner American Pharoah and stable has good opinion of her. But she very short at $2.50. Think the bet may be a boxed exacta with MISS BLACK DIAMOND, who is fit and fast. Reckon they will fight out the finish.
SUGGESTED BET: Boxed exacta 3,11.
TIPS: Pharari 1, Miss Black Diamond 2, Cavallo Rampante 3, Twice As Vain 4.
RACE 3
HISSY FIT looks good value at around the $7 mark. There is not much of her but she is quick and she was very brave here last start when resuming and just missing. She can go one better in this. CLOCK STRIKES is the big danger after beating all but Epic Centre last start. The favourite NOKHBAH comes off a soft synthetic win but this is harder and is no value at the moment.
SUGGESTED BET: Hissy Fit each-way at $7.
TIPS: Hissy Fit 1, Clock Strikes 2, Veloce Carro 3, Nokhbah 4.
RACE 4
ZAYNUDIN and PACHINO clashed here three weeks ago, with the latter too strong in the fun home. But reckon Zaynudin is the way to go here. Meets Pachino slightly better at the weights but reckon he is right at his top now and draws to get a gun run. Reckon they will fight out the finish again.
SUGGESTED BET: Zaynudin to win at $3.40.
TIPS: Zaynudin 1, Pachino 3, Barmah Al 3, Live By The Sword 4.

RACE 5
BOH RHAP has talent and has been kept fresh since a strong win in the wet at Geelong in June. Liked his recent jumpout win when he hit the line with gusto when hard held in the straight. Helped by the claim and draws a soft barrier to get a lovely run. Hard not to be impressed with IGOTCHA’s debut win at Lakeside a month ago and may even be better suited by the extra 200m.
SUGGESTED BET: Boh Rhap to win at $4.60. Take box trifecta 2,3,4,7.
TIPS: Boh Rhap 1, Igotcha 2, Colombe D’Or 3, Apollo 4.
RACE 6
I think the key to SIR ROCKFORD is a return to Hillside. His best career win was over this course and distance three starts back when he beat home subsequent winners Thorin and Hard Squeeze and did it with style. Got too far back but ran on aty Lakeside last month and kept fresh for this. Good value at $6. FRIGID won very well over this track and trip last start and draws perfectly.
SUGGESTED BET: Sir Rockford to win at $6.
TIPS: Sir Rockford 1, Frigid 2, Jabbawockeez 3, Fearentless 4.
RACE 7
The race shape could suit HE’S HEAVEN. His best races have been when he has been out in front and with no noted leaders, he could cross to up the running and he has main rival Rheinberg drawn outside him. He looked close to being back to his best here three weeks ago when caught on the wrong side of the track. He was only 3 lengths off Jacquinot at Caulfield last year, so this class will suit him. Worth the gamble at $15. RHEINBERG the obvious danger and watch for FISTOFFURY to run well first-up after being gelded.
SUGGESTED BET: He’s Heaven each-way at $15.

RACE 8
On face value, DISCERNING looked to have every chance here a fortnight ago but just don’t think she is a 1400m horse. And she may have been ridden a touch more forward then she would have liked. She has just pipped by Jack Of It over this t/d two runs back and only beaten a length by Benedetta here in Feb. At her top now and great value at $12. NUNTHORPE is the class runner having been placed in the Kewney Stakeds before a spell and will be charging late.
SUGGESTED BET: Discerning each-way at $12.
TIPS: Discerning 1, Nunthorpe 2, Extreme Step 3, Refreshing 4.
BEST BET: Sir Rockford (race 6)
BEST VALUE: He’s Heaven (race 7)
