There are truckloads of great events coming up in the next few months – here are some dates for your diaries.

South Australia Trucking Forum 

April 10, 2024 – Adelaide, SA

April 11, 2024 – Mount Gambier, SA

The South Australia Trucking Forum, hosted by NatRoad in Adelaide and Mount Gambier, is an opportunity to network with other truck operators, meet with transport regulators, and find out how NatRoad is supporting the industry. Hear directly from experts, receive industry updates and provide feedback on issues affecting your transport business. The events are free to attend. Register online here.

TechDrive 2024

April 11, 2024 – Brisbane, Qld 
April 17, 2024 – Sydney, NSW 
August 7, 2024 – Melbourne, VIC 

Following its successful launch event in Melbourne in 2023, WHG is taking TechDrive on the road again this year – hitting up Brisbane and Sydney before returning to Melbourne. The event will showcase the latest in technology and innovation, with announcements on new product releases, developments in Telematics, IoT, location data and more.

The Brisbane event will take place at the Bethnal and the Sydney event will take place at Rocks Brewing Company, while the Melbourne venue will be announced soon.  

Trucking Australia 2024

April 17-19, 2024
Canberra, ACT

Organised by the Australian Trucking Association and held at the National Convention Centre in Canberra, this event will feature presentations from leading industry practitioners, government agencies and regulatory bodies, to discuss and shape solutions to the trucking industry’s biggest challenges. Attendees can also look forward to the National Trucking Industry Awards, including National Professional Driver of the Year, plus a Kenworth Legends lunch, Daimler Truck Local Showcase dinner, and ATA Foundation Sponsors Gala awards dinner.

Logan Pub Car, Bike & Truck Show

April 20, 2024
Logan, VIC 

Bring your trucks, cars, hot rods and bikes to Logan Pub at 6742 on the Wimmera Highway from midday until late on April 20. Entry is free, with live music, coffee, food trucks, and more. Awards will be presented at 4pm. Camping is available for those who want to stay overnight, with breakfast on Sunday morning. For more info call Cliff at 0412 463 289.  

Lockington Vintage Rally

April 27-28, 2024 
Lockington, VIC 

Enjoy a great day out at Lockington & District Living Heritage Complex, surrounded by trucks, vintage tractors, engines, motorcycles, cars, and farm machinery. Entry is $10 per person, with primary school-aged children free. Free entry for rally exhibitors. Proof of insurance must be shown. Dogs allowed, must be on leash at all times. 

North Coast Trucking Social Club Memorial Ceremony

April 27, 2024
South Kempsey, NSW

The North Coast Trucking Social Club Memorial Ceremony will take place at the South Kempsey Interchange at 10am on April 27. An informal convoy will leave South Street, South Kempsey at 9am, driving through Kempsey CBD and then on to Frederickton, finishing up at the South Kempsey Interchange. Light refreshments will be provided following the ceremony, and for those interested a remembrance dinner will be held at the Kempsey Heights Bowling Club at 6pm. There is no requirement to buy tickets in advance as the bistro will be functioning for meals. 

The North Coast Trucking Social Club’s memorial wall was created in 2015 to provide an opportunity for family and friends to pay tribute to truck drivers who have passed away. If anyone would like to apply for a loved one to be added to the wall, they can do so here.  

MAY 

Sydney TruckFest

May 3–5, 2024  
Clarendon, NSW  

Held at Hawksebury Showground, Sydney TruckFest is a major celebration of the trucking industry, showcasing the latest developments in transport technology, equipment, accessories and much more. There is a dedicated section for older vehicles, but the focus is on highlighting new vehicles and advancements. Attendees can also look forward to lots of entertainment, with performers Baylou and The James Brothers already confirmed.

Sydney TruckFest has also announced that it will be hosting a Show and Shine this year, open to trucks of every size, shape, year and model. Vehicles must be assembled on site by 9am and will not be permitted to move until 5pm. Trucks can remain overnight and can be shown on either Saturday, Sunday or both however, judging is open over both days so there’s a better chance of walking away with an award if you stay for the whole weekend.

Heritage Truck Association Truck Show

May 18-19, 2024 
Rocklea, Qld 

Held at Rocklea Showgrounds, this display of veteran, vintage and heritage trucks, vintage tractors, stationary working engines and vintage cars will interest any vehicle enthusiast. Attendees can also expect trade stalls, a raffle, parades and food and drink. Entry $10 adults, children under 14 free. For further information phone Mark on 0448 111 105, or John on 0477 499 530. 

Transport Women Australia Ltd – Living the Dream Conference  

May 30-June 1, 2024
Essendon Fields, VIC 

Transport Women Australia’s 2024 Living the Dream Conference will take place at Hyatt Place, 1 English Street, Essendon Fields from May 30 to June 1. It kicks off with a pre-conference tour of Paccar, which includes lunch, and a concurrent session with Healthy Heads in Truck and Sheds. Cindy Parker (director of operations at Americold LLC) has been announced as a keynote speaker.  Ellen Voie, founder of Women in Trucking from Wisconsin, will also be speaking at the event. An awards dinner will take place on June 1.  

JUNE

Alexandra Truck, Ute & Rod Show

Alexandra, VIC

The Alexandra Truck Show is back on the long weekend in June this year, with a Sunday Show ‘n’ Shine on the town’s main street, as well as live music, a Victorian woodchop tournament, exhibitions, trade displays, kids’ amusements and a raffle. Come down on Saturday for the local markets, a convoy and truck drivers’ memorial service at 2pm and sponsors’ dinner at 6pm. JULY

Camp Quality Adelaide Convoy for Kids

To celebrate National Female Truckies’ Day this year, WiTA and Camp Quality are teaming up to host a day “for the little kids AND the BIG kids”. Supporters will cheer on Camp Quality’s first ever Adelaide convoy, as they travel a 40km route around Adelaide and Port Adelaide, starting and finishing at Victoria Park. The event venue will also host a free family fun day, packed with entertainment and experiences including food vans, kids’ rides, face painting, live music, and more. Attendees can check out the trucks and motorbikes on display at a Show ‘n’ Shine after the convoy. Sign up online or donate here.

AUGUST

Casino Truck Show

August 3, 2024
Casino, NSW 

The Casino Truck Show is back! Expect hundreds of trucks from all over Australia, as well as live music, trade stalls and more. Truck registrations ($30 each) from 6am at the Casino Industrial Area on the east side of the town. The Highway Lights Parade will roll through Johnston Street and Centre Street from 10am. Award presentations will take place at 2pm, with over $12,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs.

SEPTEMBER

American Iron Echuca Truck Display

September 7-8, 2024
Echuca Rotary Park, VIC

All makes and models of trucks are welcome at the American Iron Echuca Truck Display.  

Attendees can look forward to modified tractor/mini tractor pull demonstrations, on-site camping and catering, club merchandise and trade stalls, as well as live music by Van-yt. 

MegaTrans

September 18 -19, 2024
Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, VIC

Leaders from across the supply chain will gather in Melbourne to discuss the future of the logistics industry at MegaTrans, an integrated trade expo and conference reserved for companies offering advanced technology technologies and services. Experts from across Australia will gather to discuss the issues that are shaping the future of the sustainable supply chain, including workplace diversity and real estate planning.
