Celebrate the beginning of the Lunar New Year in Chinatown, Southport!
2024 is the Year of the Dragon, representing auspiciousness and imperial power.
This year’s fiery festivities include a vibrant melting pot of colourful entertainment. See lion and dragon dancers, market stalls, kids activities (paper-cutting and Chinese calligraphy), an interactive wishing tree, fan and umbrella dancing, and a sizzling fireworks finale!
The $5 food safari is back and will have you roaring around Chinatown, feasting on the delectable $5 food and beverage cultural delights! Watch this space for the downloadable map.
Lunar New Year is a free family-friendly cultural celebration and is proudly presented by City of Gold Coast and supported by 92.5 Triple M Gold.
