The annual Sydney Royal Easter Show has drawn a sold-out crowd on Good Friday, with 100,000 people expected to flock to the popular event in a single day.
On average, the 12 day event attracts more than 828,000 attendees every year and officials predict this year’s Easter Show at Sydney Olympic Park will bring in crowds of up to 790,000.
Falling outside the school holiday period, an Easter Show spokeswoman said this year’s crowd numbers were in line with crowd numbers recorded at the 2018 show, which also fell on a non-school holiday period.
With roller-coasters, animal and garden shows, wine bars and an abundance of food options, the show boasts an impressive program all members of the family can enjoy.
According to the shows website, the show is home to Australia’s largest carnival, with 13 thrilling rides to choose from.
There are more than 400 different breeds of animals on-site and more than 900 live agriculture demonstrations taking place over the 12 days, with the show described as a “celebration of Australian culture”, showcasing both “rural traditions” and “modern day lifestyles”.
The seventh day of the show also ushered in perfect weather, with sunny skies and temperatures reaching a mild 24C.
The Royal Easter Show opened on March 22.

It wraps up on April 2, the Tuesday after the Easter long weekend.
