Rey Magnerio delivered a SmackDown in the last race, giving one punter a nice collect to end Cup week on a high note.

Rosehill – Race 6 No.2 – Roots $15,000 @ $3.90 (TopSport)

Roots proved to be a savvy bet as she claimed victory in the G2 Hot Danish.

Rosehill – Race 7 No.1 – Shangri La Express $23,000 @ $2.10 (TopSport)

Shangri La Express showed her toughness by crossing from a wide draw and leading the race. The Waterhouse/Bott clan once again demonstrated their skill.

Rosehill – Race 10 No.10 – Gustosisimo $20,000 @ $3.50 (TopSport)

Gustosisimo gave this punter a reason to celebrate with a strong performance and a well-deserved win.

Toowoomba – Race 2 No.9 – Duchess Bree – $15,000 @ $4.50 (TopSport)

Duchess Bree finally broke her maiden status and rewarded one punter with a handsome collect. It was a long-awaited victory for the 7-year-old mare.

MISSES

Flemington – Race 1 No.7 – Sequestered – $10,000 @ $4 (TAB)

Sequestered disappointed her backers by finishing last in the race. Jockey Michael Dee suggested that the mare struggled with the moderate tempo.

Flemington – Race 4 No.2 – Duke De Sessa – $4494 @ $5.50 (Sportsbet)

Duke De Sessa couldn’t catch up to the winner due to a proactive move by Daniel Moor on Muramasa.

Flemington – Race 8 No.11 – Prowess – $5500 @ $6 (TAB)

Zaaki finished fourth in the Champions Stakes, just ahead of Prowess in sixth place.

Rosehill – Race 7 No.11 – Miss Judas – $5000 (each-way) @ $10/$3 (Sportsbet)

Miss Judas settled at the back of the field and could only manage a seventh-place finish, 4.6L behind the winner.

Rosehill – Race 8 No.3 – Antino $10,000 Tote SP ($2.30) (TopSport)

Rosehill – Race 8 No.4 – Hoo Ya Mal – $10,000 (place) @ $5.50 (Sportsbet)

Both Antino and Hoo Ya Mal failed to deliver in the Five Diamonds race.

Doomben – Race 5 No.6 – Fine Shot – $15,000 @ $4.60 (TopSport)

Fine Shot fell just short in the 1200m 3YO handicap, finishing less than a length behind the winner.

Doomben – Race 9 No.10 – The Catch – $20,000 @ $3.40 (TopSport)

The Catch had to settle for third place in the race, behind Awesome Lad and Calm Seeker.

Gold Coast – Race 3 No.6 – Crimson Reward – $17,000 @ $4.80 (TopSport)

Crimson Reward couldn’t keep up with the frontrunner Word From Above, finishing 1.5L behind in third place.
